Sheri Jurnecka was a big hit in Tucson this year as she was stopped repeatedly by admirers of her fantastical and enormous octopus-pearl creations. And now she has spawned a litter of little creatures, seen below along with two "adults" in different metals.



Even the undersides are a work of art.

The Tucson GJX show has a treat inside - the Idar-Oberstein Group Pavilion. Here you can find gem carvings of myriad themes and materials. And at the Pauly booth, we were surprised to find that pearls were represented.
