    Freshwater or saltwater pearls?

Even though these pearls are not the value you hoped, they are a good size and can easily be knotted into a necklace that can be worn and enjoyed.

    Freshwater or saltwater pearls?

Just want to add, these pearls are all nacre; there is no bead nucleus.

Would appreciate any help in Valuing these Natural Pearls

Also a trusted shop on Etsy called "The Pearl Collector" deals in natural pearls and may be helpful, although they don't have any comparable necklaces currently.

    Anyone have stick pearls?

What an excellent stringing job, J.Lee! I imagine the purple thread shows up more in person. I love those pearls and can't imagine drilling them. The Bridgerton necklace will be a fun project!

    Thrifted pearl studs

Plearls with few to no flaws and excellent luster are the ones picked for earring pairs, whether freshwater or akoya.

    Aliexpress pearls

Is there any feedback from previous purchasers? What are the chances you will get pearls that look like the photo?

    My Omar Pearls.

Welcome to the forum, Sheri. The three necklaces appear to be imitation pearls, not cultured pearls. Looking closely at the drill holes, there seems to be some peeling and build up of the pearlized finish on the beads. On the lighter strand I noticed where the finish appears to have peeled...

    Where to buy rare/unusual pearls

Yes, The Pearl Collector is a very reliable source. Also a good site to see rare pearls photographed well.

    Where to buy rare/unusual pearls

I enjoy seeing photos of rare pearls like this; no idea of value. We recommend you look for comps online, but I suppose it will be difficult to find any.

Onegemme Live Chat with Pierre Fallourd on Super Bowl Sunday

Many thanks for cutting edge information from Pierre, Hisano and Jeremy. One of the best perks from hanging out here on the forum! Kamoka Pearls are also single origin, although without the formal documentation.

    New dilemma

Thanks, MrGray. I have seen some dyed pearls that do exhibit a very solid color, but much less often. You mention overtones; what colors are you seeing?

    New dilemma

I'm seeing deep tones of purple/blue more than anything else, which indicates to me dyed freshwater. Would you agree, MrGray?
